Sebokolodi Mining is a joint venture partnership between LPK ISIVUNO and Wexham Builds (Pty) Ltd.
About Us
LPK ISIVUNO is the first black owned box-hole tunnelling business in South Africa. LPK ISIVUNO has been in operation for 22 years. The business of LPK ISIVUNO is well capitalized and ably managed on all fronts. It presently operates under 5 year contracts at various shafts in the Rusternburg area including Anglo Platinum, Lonmin, Impala Platinum and Buffels Gold Mine presently concentrating on box-hole tunnelling, drilling and blasting, underground Rai Rod Construction, Silo and Ventilation Shaft Construction, Vamping and Development.
The company also participates in the entire value chain (consumables inclusive) of the mining industry right from exploration up to reclamation. Current and past clients of LPK ISIVUNO include Anglo American Platinum, Impala Platinum Mines, Lonmin, Pandora Mine, Village Main Reef and Marula Mine. LPK ISIVUNO’s trade references include Atlas Copco, Barloworld Equipment, Speed Space, Tranter Energy and Mining Services and Boart Long year.
The Joint Venture
Sebokolodi Mining is a Joint Venture directed by 2 Batswana males and 1 female on the one part and Mr. Ike Tholo, a South African on the other. The former are all Directors of Wexham Builds (Pty) Ltd, a Botswana Corp, whilst the latter is the Director/Chief Executive and Shareholder of LPK ISIVUNO. The Joint Venture was created through a deliberate intention of all the members to come up with an outfit that is geared towards empowering Batswana to participate both in the core mining business and its associated value chain. The Joint Venture Agreement incorporates a sunset clause which shall ensure that over a period of 20 years there shall be a decided skills and assets transfer to all Batswana entities in the joint venture.

Bios of the key personnel of Sebokolodi Mining
Ike Tholo
Ike Tholo studied in the USA where he received BSc with Honors Degrees in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from North Eastern University in Boston Massachusetts. While studying in the USA he worked in the Financial Services Sector where he was appointed as Project Office Head for John Hancock Financial Services.
He returned home in 2005 and worked 2 years for Nedbank where he implemented the FICA Act, The National Credit Act and Basel II Compliance projects for the group. He then resigned and ventured into business in the DR Congo. Then in 2009 he came back to SA and got involved in the Logistics and Aviation Industries. He currently is a director in companies in different Industries. As a strong advocate for development of entrepreneurs and youth development. He involves his employees in the decision making processes to develop leadership and decision making abilities in them. His professional interests focus on Mining, Logistics and Engineering, and his current roles include CEO of LPK Isivuno, Director in FHL Holdings Ltd and Director at UAA Logistics. In addition, he serves as Director for The Mining Contractors Association. He is also Executive Chairman of Tholo International Pty Ltd based in Sandton.
Mothusi Boapotswe
Mr. Boapotswe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Botswana. He has more than 15 years experience in Project Management, Project Delivery and Contract Execution.
Kabo Motswagole
Mr. Motswagole holds a Master of Laws Degree from Fordham University, New York City. He has more than 12 year’s experience of work in the legal and mining sector. He has done work relating to drafting of Mining Leases, capital raising and financing of new mining outfits, issues relating to financing and acquisition of drill rigs, access to mining rights, development of meaningful CSR Policies for Mining Companies and listing of Mining and Energy Companies on the Botswana Stock Exchange and work relating to assisting clients to obtain Mining Licences.
Johanah Motswagole – Konings
Ms. Konings holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences (Economics & Public Admin) from the University of Botswana. She has over 23 years of work experience in different capacities in Human Resources. Of these 23 years, 10 Years were in the mining industry and 5 years in manufacturing and services industry as Head of Human Resources and 3 (three) in security services industry as HR Director. She is a former employee of Debswana Diamond Company and Tati Nickel Mining Company.
